Yes he was a Texas Ranger, but only for a short time. He was also a Confederate Soldier. I am just begning to get the family history together. I will share as I put it together. You will see a lot of marrying in and out of the Owens family. Sometimes family i.e. cousins and sometimes others. My brother-in-law is way ahead of me in doing the research and when he gets back to the west he is going to share with me.
