Sampson Brashears and Margaret "Peggy" Bright Brashears were my ggg-grandparents. Their son Ezekiel, was a brother to your John Brashears who married Rebecca Christian. Ezekiel married Nancy Cornett. She died in 1857. He married Mary Anne Combs in 1859. Then he was killed in 1864 in the Civil War. His son, Lafayette M. Brashears was my g-grandfather.
