    3. Hi, Brant listees, I'm new to this list and am starting to try to fill in holes in researching my BRANT and the related lines listed below. If anyone on the list has information about the family, I'd appreciate it. I have tried to find more information about Ezra BRANT and Mary PENNICK in Pennsylvania, but have hit the brick wall. Also, I have not been able to get past Elizabeth's father George SWANK (abt. 1808 in Pennsylvania) or her grandparents Frederick LEYDA and Margaret RITCHEY, about whom I can find nothing. I am assuming various spellings from SCHWENK, SCHWANK, LEIDA, LEIDIG, LAYDA, LEYDE. RITCHEY probably also has many variant spellings. Any information appreciated. Also looking for any photographs of any of the them. Buford Williams BRANT (1903-1978) b. and d. Missouri; m. Helen Louise NEILL (1908-abt. 1949) bef. 1928 Alvin Jesse BRANT (1879-1976) b. The wind scatters the leaves on the ground, but the live timber burgeons with leaves again in the season of spring returning. So one generation of men will grow while another dies." Iliad, VI.146-150, trans. Lattimore. So, tell me again, why the heck am I raking up all these leaves?
