The list has been so quiet I thought I'd somehow gotten unsubscribed. A couple of months ago I got some help from the list on my Lucy Jane Branson (b. 1823 TN). I thought she was the daughter of David BRANSON and Susannah BOLTON. It was decided that she was definitely the granddaughter of Absalom BRANSON and Jemima LORTON, but we never really settled which of Absalom's sons she belonged to. Linda Mains pointed me toward a Branson-Moore cousin who has proof that Lucy Jane--and all of the children I was attributing to David and Susannah are actually the children of Lemuel Branson and Jane Watson. Lemuel is David's brother (Lemuel 1810, Michael 1817, Nancy 1819, John Francis 1821, and Lucy Jane 1823). For the record, there is another Lucy Jane Branson, b. 1837 in Parke Co IN, who was the daughter of Lemuel and Jane's son Lemuel and his wife Elizabeth BRANSON.
