    3. I hope this is OK that I sent this to several lists at one time. JB This info today on Ancestry Daily News. You may have seen something about this lately. The state of Florida and the governor has proposed legislation to close the Florida State Library. This is a petition to sign and send to try to pursuade them to change their minds. All states' archives are important to all genealogists. We cannot stand by and let these records disappear. They need to remain accessable to the public. Hope you'll feel free to sign this. Janet Branson State Library and Archives The Florida Historical Society has created a website to collect electronic signatures for a petition about the State Library of Florida closing.
