According to HAMMOND BUREAU OF VITAL STATISTICS, he died on September 27,1916 in Hammond, In. I still need to know where he is buried. A logical assumption could be Concordia Cemetery in Hammond, as his wife, Ida M. Gellinger Branson, was known to be a member of the Lutheran faith. William was a watchman for the railroad, and performed his work at the Hohman/ Sibley watchtower that the Hammond Historical Society is trying to preserve.
