Grandfather of Thomas went to Missouri and died in 1830 On the net..lds...it says Andrew Jackson's dad was David...but the person who died in 1830 was John Jefferson 3. Father of Thomas stayed 3 yrs in Gentry then went to St. Joseph then to Colorado and died at Pagosa Springs Andrew Jackson died in Colorado As for the census...I'm having a hard time finding the children of John Jefferson...but...one listing has him having a son Hiram in 1832...that's quite a long pregnancy from a husband that died in 1830. 1830 Census of Gasconade: Jarret Branson: male under 5, male 15-20, male 60-70, 30-40 female, 60-70 female Along with the aged Jarret and wife, the 30-40 year old could be widow Sally Dillard.
