Listen, don't feel like the "Lone Stranger!" I hunted and hunted for my ancestor, William Branson, whom I KNEW (on the basis of info from his marriage license) was the son of John B. Branson. Imagine my puzzled relief to find him on the 1880 Census as little 11-year-old Daniel W. living with Brisco Branson was my own Bill Branson living with his father, (John) B(riscoe) Branson; his mother, Lucinda; his siblings! The age makes him the correct one. WHY, oh why, do they do this????
