William Branson , father of Judge Nathaniel Branson , was born November 1811, died 1894; married Jane Cooledge who was born about 1817 and died May 5, 1886. Marriage date. Regnier born Oct. 28,1835, married Feb. 21, 1861 Children: Ella R born September 11, 1870 Edward R. born June 15, 1875 Zebulon Branson, son of John Branson(no mention of which John Branson) was born June 20, 1818 in Ross county, Ohio. moved with parents to (somewhere around Springfield, Illinois) Sangamon County, Illinois in 1823, married August 8, 1840. Wife was Rachel Brancher. The family moved to Fulton county, Illinois where they lived until 1883 when they moved to Lincoln , Nebraska. Zebulon enlisted in August 1862 in the 103rd Regiment , Co. T , Volunteer Infantry. He was killed at the battle of Kenesaw Mountain, Georgia at the assault or charge made the morning of June 27, 1864, commanding Company B as a captain.His remains lie in the National Cemetery at Marietta, Georgia.
