Is there anyone out there who has information on Jonathan Branson and wife Jennie something? They had a daughter Elizabeth who married George Pryor. I have her obit. I also believe they had sons Burwell and Daniel. Burwell married Mary Ann Pryor in Fayette Co. IL. Daniel married Cynthia Godsey in Pitt. Co. PA in the late 1830's. I believe Elisabeth and George were also married in Pitt. Co. in that era. Daniel and Cynthia both died in the mid-1850's. I don't know any of the circumstances of their deaths. They had 3 children, James, and 2 little girls. Burwell died in 1866 in Fayette Co. IL. They had only one child, Thomas, who married Annie Mahon in Fayette Co. I'm not positive that Burwell and Daniel are Jonathan's sons, but since Burwell and Elizabeth married siblings, I assume they are all 3 siblings. I know. NEVER assume! All three of these Bransons came out to Fayette Co. IL from Pittsylvania Co. in the early 40's I'd say, not necessarily at the same time. I guess what I'm looking for is confirmation of their siblinghood. Is there such a word? Probably not. Burwell is my husband's gggrandfather. The interesting thing about this situation: There was a Branson family, the Pryors, the Mahons, and others who went to Fayette Co. IL, on the same 1830 Pitt. Co. census page. Whole neighborhoods must have moved together and taken land in the "west". Has anyone else seen this happen? Janet Branson in Iowa
