You are looking at James and Rebecca Branson Jr. Her maiden name was Barnes. Her mil was also Rebeckah, maiden name Bishop. So, Lewis DID have descendants? Great!!! Samuel Evans Branson was my great grandfather on my father's side, and don't laugh --- Ella was my great grandmother on my mother's side. PLEASE contact me as soon as you can. I'd love to hear from you. I know that Rebecca Barnes was born around 1816, or maybe 1812, and died at the age of 94. She actually had 11 children, the oldest was William who died in the first month of his life. They lived in Vincentown, NJ. James and Rebecca helped to found the Methodist church there and there is a stained glass window that they bought with their names on it. Another Branson descendant is the secretary of that church. Oh, their graves can be visited in the Methodist Cemetary there. James Jr. actually served on the Union side during the Civil War. Get in touch!....bb
