This Branson family came to Indiana 1817 from New Jersey to New Lebanon Ohio to Wayne Co Indiana and then finally to Delaware co Indiana. Jerusha Branson was either adopted or taken in by Uriah and Lydia Pease Cheeseman abt 1846 Delaware co Indiana. Uriah Cheeseman's will dated Sept 1857 Delaware co Indiana names children Samuel Cheeseman, William Cheeseman, Alexander Cheeseman, Joseph Cheeseman. Sons John and William Cheeseman, George Cheeseman, Richard Cheeseman, Mary A Cheeseman, Jane Cheeseman and Jerusha BRANSON. Notice there are 2 William Cheeseman named in Uriah's will. I have been told John, William, George, Richard, Mary Ann, Jane and Jerusha are children of John Branson. Does anyone know anything about this Branson family.
