N.C. d 1859 Strawberry Plains, Tenn, buried at Jefferson, Tn md Rhoda Ballinger ca 20 June 180l pg 100: According to information received from Mr. Fred Page Branson, Levi Branson built the first two story log cabin in Eastern Tenn., Levi died 1859 and was buried on his farm at Strawberry Plains, Jefferson Co. Tenn. After his death, his wife Rhoda , went to Cassville, Ga. to live w/hjer son, Levi and his wife Jane Wilson Branson. Rhoda died 1860 & was buried in the family lot in Cassville cem. The stone w/her name on it is still readable, RHODA BALLINGER BRANSON. She was listed in 1860 Cen of Cass(now Bartow) Co. , Georgia and living w/her son . She was listed under the name Roda Branson, age 83 b in N.C. Levi Jr. b 29 May 1813 Guilford C.H. , N.C. md Jane Willson Issue: John Calvin; Margaret A; Singleton Stuart; Wm. Penn; Rbt. Mason; Alexander MacDuffie Reid Branson. By Mrs. Mull he had Thos. Jefferson; Fred P; Miss Jessie.
