She was born November 2, 1872 and died October 24, 1923. She was married to Jacob Franklin Caldwell of Hardy County VA. My grandfather believes that her mother's name was Elizabeth and her father may have been Joe Hammond I. My grandfather recalls hearing that Joe Hammond may have been 1/4 Indian. My grandfather also thinks that Joe Hammond's father may have been named Joe Hammond as well. If this sounds familiar to anyone, I would love to hear from you.
