It is probable that meetings were held in the vicinity of Warrington as early as 1740, for on the 22d of 8 Mo. of that year a marriage was held “at ye house of William Garretson,” who resided in Warrington. This was the marriage of James Frazier to Rebecca Cox, daughter of Thomas Cox.
