Hello List! I am trying to find information on my great grandparents: William Daniel Oscar Branson m. Lily Stigall (d 1950) Children: Tom Bluford Elmer Alma Alta Alton Oscar (b. 1905 d. 1974) Any information would be appreciated!!!! Thanks! Shannon
Descendants of William Branson Hi Branson listers: Can anyone tie their tree to this William BRANSON? My data is quite incomplete, yet what there is is fairly accurate and documented in two volumes: the History of Willamette Valley by Lang, 1885 and The History of Oregon, Harvey K. Hines, 1885. The latter says William was of English ancestry who had emigrated to the colonies in 1735 and that he belongs to the South branch of the family that went also partly to the East (NE). It is noted that they opposed each other on the in both the Revolutionary war and the Civil war, for what it's worth. Any help appreciated. Ron Valliere bottomline@msn.com Generation No. 1 1. Asking for help on the BRANSON line in Yamhill County, Oregon. My ggrandfather, Fredrich Kuno HEIDER in 1897 married his second wife Laura V. (Valentine) BRANSON, b. 1864. She was previously married to Stephen PENLAND 7 Jan 1891. Her father was Benjamin Burden/Butler BRANSON and her mother was Eliza E. DICKEY, m. 15 Sep 1854. She likely had a son, Jim PENLAND, by Stephen and three children, L. Clare, Earl, and Zelda, by Fred HEIDER. The 1860 Yamhill County, OR census index counts the following BRANSONs: Almira, George, J.N., Martha,Susan, and William. A local history has the BRANSONs coming from Sagamon County in Illinois. Can anyone connect their line with these folks? TIA Ron VALLIERE bottomline@msn.com

A couple of months ago I started transcribing some miscellaneous Prewitt records I had found for the list. I didn't finish and I don't know when I'll get back to them, but I wondered if anyone else would be interested in doing the transcribing. If you're interested, please contact me. I'd be glad to snail mail the information. There are about a dozen pages of wills, marraiges, and misc records from Viginia. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
