I am looking for the marriage record of Briscoe Branson and Eliza ?. His son Joseph Abb was born and married in VA. But he has older siblings who were born in TN. I thought they were probably married there but the Library of TN told me there was no record. The 1880 census says Briscoe was born in N.C c 1807. I'm hoping maybe thats where he was married. Tenn. After his death, his wife Rhoda , went to Cassville, Ga. to live w/hjer son, Levi and his wife Jane Wilson Branson. Rhoda died 1860 & was buried in the family lot in Cassville cem. The stone w/her name on it is still readable, RHODA BALLINGER BRANSON. She was listed in 1860 Cen of Cass(now Bartow) Co. , Georgia and living w/her son . Branson 1881 Thomas Branson 1853 I got this infomation (and there is much more) from a small 20 page book my father inlaw gave me written by George Branson (Brazil, Ind.) and John W. Branson (Wheatcroft, Ky) 1936. It name is Genealogy of the Branson Families in America. Has several lines of Bransons. I would love to share info. Cari Branson

He was born in 1836 and I believe it was North Carolina. I think his father was Luke Labon Branson. William married Nancy (I think it is Nancy Ellen, but it could be Nancy Jane). I just recently received a photo of William from my mom's cousin. William died in 1923 and is buried near Harrison Arkansas. My mom's cousin took pictures of his gravestone and he just recently sent those to me also. How are you related? Are you the same Branson line? I have a 3 page family history done by his grand-daughter, my Great Aunt Lottie. It has all of Williams children and most of his grand and great grandchildren. Nina
