They were married Oct. 6,1917.They had 6 kids. Leslie Franklin-June 13,1918, Bertha Lee-Nov. 14,1919,Carles-Oct. 23,1921,Mable Ethel-Feb. 28,1925,Mary Ann-Oct.17,1931, and Cloie May-Feb. 16,1933. I was searching Nevada's Nye County for a great uncle when I turned up a Lindley C. Branson living in Tonopah City in 1920. He was the editor of the newspaper and was living on Belmont Avenue with his wife Cora age 45 and a daughter Mary age 10. Lindley was listed as having been born in Iowa. His wife and daughter were listed as being born in California. anne

Joseph's parents were Mordecai and Elizabeth (Griffith) Yarnall. While we do not know who Mordecai's parents were at this point, I have Elizabeth's parents, grandparents, and her great grandparents who came to Pennsylvania from Wales in 1710\11. My grandfather believes that her mother's name was Elizabeth and her father may have been Joe Hammond I. My grandfather recalls hearing that Joe Hammond may have been 1/4 Indian.
