I have the same picture of Rachael Braucher Branson, wife of Zebulon and 2 letters from him to her in Duncan Mills, Ill during the civil War. Does anyone know who their parents were?(both) and where Rachael came from in Holland? I can give you the family info on their daughter Emily up to the present day. If you want this tell me how to send it. I'm having trouble finding the site I sent info to to find Zebulon and wife. Thank you. Jeanne Bunbury burythebun@aol.com

My gr. grandmother was born in Letcher County, KY, so I would assume that the cabin was there, plus she took a trip back there in the 1950's. Does anyone know if there is a cabin by this school, or where this school is or if it still exists, or if a photo of the cabin exists? This cabin could have belonged to her parents, Silas Hogg & Hannah Branson, or her grand-parents, Leonard Branson & Elizabeth Brashear. I live in California and if this cabin still exists, I would like to go see it. Thanks.

I have subscribed to this list to see if I have any Bransons. Isaac Isaiah Fields married Sarah B. Brown. Their first son was named John Branson Fields. Now, where did the Branson name come from? And...Is the B. in Sarah's name Branson? I have found no parents for Sarah. Isaiah Fields (Izar) was from Guilford Co., NC. I don't know if they were married there or in Grayson Co., Va. They were married in 1832 and lived in Grayson Co., Va. John Branson Fields was my mothers grandfather. Also a patron of our library also has a Ferguson/Furgeson whose middle name is Branson. Was that common at that time or are they connected to the Branson families? Patience
