    3. Hi I'm new to the list so checking for help. I have been researching Berva Bransan/Branson from Illinois. On a legal document I have she was born in Kell Illinois and married to John Wiggins also from Kell. According to family tales John was married more then once so not sure if this is his first wife or not. I believe it is and that they had 4 children....Charles b 1892, Earl b 1895, Jarrett H b 1897 and a daughter I couldn't make out the name on. All my life I've known Jarrett (my grandfather) as Hobart Garrett Wiggins but on cenus report the name is different. There is a long story with all this so he may have changed his name when he and Charles ran away from home. The story was also that my grandfather was from Cairo, Ill but I went there and researched coming up with nothing and then found this document stating Kell. I would like to find out anything and everything anyone knows of this family. Thanks in advance for any info Marijean from Indiana

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kdF.2ACIB/14.16.18 Message Board Post: Alton Oscar Branson was my grandfather by his first marriage to my grandmother, Minnie Etta Hedrick Branson. He left my grandmother while she was pregnant with her 4th child. There were 4 children: Ruby Nona Branson Tysinger (born Sept. 15, 1924, still living and a whiz at family history), Donald Alton Branson (born Dec. 7, 1926, passed away Sept. 26 1989), Geneva Inez Branson Owens (my mother, born Sept. 23, 1929, passed away on May 26, 2002, she was 72 years old), and Doris (Dot) Ann Branson Lewis (born April 30, 1936, still living). Grandmother Branson never remarried. I started my research after my mom passed away. I realized I didn't know anything about my extended Branson family. If there is anything you can tell me, please contact me. I only met Alton Branson 2 times in my life and that was when I was really too young to remember. My mother didn't like talking about him since he neglected to come around when she was a child. I've been told that there was indi! an blood somewhere along the line but I'm not sure if that was William Daniel Branson or Lillie Stigal's side of the family. If you know anything about this, please let me know. My name is Judy Kay Owens Harvey and I was born to Inez and Johnnie Owens on November 29, 1952 and I have one sister, Sharon Kathleen (Kathy) Owens Lawson, born February 28, 1951. My email address is wendlejudyh@lexcominc.net. Thanks in advance for your help. Hope to hear from you soon. Judy Harvey

    3. Thanks for the virus alert. I appreciate the heads up EVEN IF THEY SAY NO VIRUS CAN GERT THROUGH. I was told this at work also, they have a firewall and email scaning software - There was still a virus that got through. It happens. Keep the warnings coming! "Yvonne O. 3. As you can see by my reply to the original message, we do not post virus notices to the BRANSON lists. Using (and keeping up to date) your virus detection software is your best defense along with never opening attachments. Folks, please do NOT post any more virus notices or discussion to this list. Thank you. At 9:31 PM -0500 7/23/02, Stephen & Destiny wrote: >Thanks for the virus alert. I appreciate the heads up EVEN IF THEY >SAY NO VIRUS >CAN GERT THROUGH. 3. In the last 3 minutes I have received 4 attempts of an email attachment with the virus W32.klez.h@mm. The sender was jeasley@mony.com....probably some unsuspecting person who is infected and the virus is sending out to mail in his box. I don't know jeasley but assume someone on one of the 3 genealogy mailing lists is them or knows them. The reason I am assuming this came through a genealogy list and not one of my other friends is that the subject line read "Carolina Deaths, 1979". Unless someone writes back and I know which of the 3 lists this is on, I'm warning all 3 of you and hoping you will check your computer. Hopefully like me you have Norton Virus protection and are ok....a cousin in Michigan was just wiped out by a virus lately and ended up buying a whole new computer. Sharon

    3. Does anyone know where the information came from that the Bransons were from Sunninghill, Berkshire? What record that came from? I found some records that the Day family were from St. Albans, Hertford. While I was digging through these records I found a record for births to a James Branson of St. Stephens, St. Albans, Hertford so there were Bransons around this area cir 1717. I'd love to know the validity of the Berkshire claim. Thanks Sharon
