I know that my grandfather's father was a French Canadian. He married a French immigrant in Canada named Defields and then they moved to Missouri and raised a family. Now whether any of their family or children returned to Europe, I don't know. If anyone knows anything about this line of Bransons please let me know. My grandfather's name was Dillard Nelson Branson. Though it's somewhat of an unusual name, I've come across many Dillard Branson's in my research. Also, my family are very dark skinned with black curly hair and dark or hazel eyes. They have what I would call a Mediterranean look. Does this description fit your family?

Re: Branson Family ReunionHi listers, We have been gone on vacation for the last couple weeks. In my pile of mail was a brochure for the First Ever Branson Family Reunion, to be held, of course, in Branson, MO. There seem to be quite a few activities planned in addition the the Branson attractions. They are trying to set a Ripley's Believe it or Not record too. Sounds like a good time to me. Wish we could go but our vacation time is used up. Here is a web site that will give more info. I hope some can go.
