Do you have some source information that places his death in 1877? I would love to see it. I had heard about Moline, Kansas for Malinda and made a trip over there to see if I could find anything. Original burial records for all their cemeteries did not show her there. So I'm still stumped, but VERY appreciative of your note. Thanks so much for your help.

He is 50, b. TN (ca. 1800). His wife is Mary, age 45, b. TN (ca. 1805). Eight children are listed in the household, some with very interesting names such as Mineny, Vant, and Amantha. Could this be the Jonathan Branson + Mary Ann Innskeep that you refer to??? My interest is in Amantha Branson who *may* be the Ama or "Amy" Branson that married into my Dale line in Harrison Co., MO, in 1856.

Sill, Okla. He took me on a tour of his childhood places. We walked down a country road to the farm. It was about 40 acres, had a well kept small home and a nice barn. Behind the house was a nice pond. Dad told me that all of our grandads crony's refered to him as TJ. Your full gg aunt Hannah and gg uncle Joe never moved far from the farm. Part of the first family of children, your side, may have been born in Casconade County as that is where Valentine settled with the family after coming from Tennesse. . I have a reproduced picture of your aunt Hannah and her husband at their 50th wedding anniversary. Mom always talked about how nice she was. By the way while visiting dad, we went to Branson, Mo. and it was just a little four corner village, maybe 500 people, but in beautiful country. After traveling though Mo. several times I had always wished dad had kept the farm and! we could have lived there. There was also a little gas station down by the farm with just 2 old pumps and a little square building that dad's full brother Tom owned for awhile. You are the only close relative that I have ever been able to talk with about our Grandfather and as my life is a lot shorter than yours I sure hope I can feed you some correct information.. I have seen pics of Rueben, but never TJ Will talk to you later, Dale

In the meantine, is there anyhthing you can tell me about your grandfather... in terms of his life or personality? His brothers were involved in the Civil War on the Union side. Was he a part of that? His brother Galba was also a founding member of the Baldknobbers. Did he participate in that? What kind of farm did he have in Republic? Anything you can tell me about his life or his temperament would be nice, because I really have less information about him than anyone else in my paternal line. I'm sorry to hear about your wife, and I hope she gets better.

I have most of the material that he was working on at the time of his death. I have the names and some of the birth and deaths of his brothers and sister. The 6 oldest children of which your gggrandfather was one had a mother by the name of Maratha Ann Bararick- born 12-89-1849, died 7-18-1886 from childbirth. My grandmother was Amelia Creek born 3-12-1866, died 4-5-1915. I am tied up with my wife's illness and time is very tight for me. Hopefully in a month or so I will be able to spend more time researching. If TJ did work for the Burlington, he sure didn;t use his bed for much sleeping with 13 kids. Just a joke. His first wife Martha Barwick died of child birth he then married my grandmother Amelia Creek. James Ruben was my dad's half brother. I also met his oldest half brother Joseph who lived just a short distance from the family farm. Dad and mom used to go to MO. to visit his half sister Hannah Hart in Republic. Now as to Galba, the papers that dad collected from the family list Galba as Galbrith. I do know that the one child of Galba's was referred to as Dink. Whether or not the name was Galba or Galbrith they are one and the same as Valentine was the father. I had only met one of dad's whole brothers and that was Tom. His brothers all migrated to Calif. from Mo. Dad was 10 years younger than hs next oldest brother Homer. TJ may well have worked for the RR along with farming though I do know that he died of a heart attack while walking between the house and barn and any records I have been able to procure from this end only lists him as a farmer. Please keep in contact as it is nice to know some of these things. Also excuse my ramblings tolday. Thanks, Dale
I saw the comment on another Thomas Jefferson Branson who was in northern Oklahoma. This is probably Thomas Jefferson Branson of Grant County Oklahoma and Cumberland County Illinois. He was the son of Andrew Branson and Elizabeth Greenwall (?). Thomas was born April 1831 in Patrick County Virginia and died in 1916. Father Andrew was born about 1802 in Virginia and Elizabeth also in Virginia about 1810. Andrew and Elizabeth were in Randolph County Indiana by 1840. Andrew died sometime before 1860 and Elizabeth was living in Cumberland County Illinois. She died after 1880. Can anyone identify this Branson family and determone if and how they relate to the Missouri Bransons.
