This was tried a few years ago..but was not advertised very well. Our company (here in Branson) is putting it together at the request of several Branson family members. We just wanted to find out if there is much interest in it. We will set a frim date soon..tenitivly set for July 2005. He was born May 10, 1928, in Pueblo, CO, to Claude Albert and Olive M. (Branson) Sewell. He married Shirley M. West on Aug. 20, 1949. They bought their farm in Custer County in 1949, working it for the last 54 years. During that time, he also worked for 21 years at the Southern Colorado Power Company as a boiler operator, eight years for Cañon City High School as a janitor and at the Department of Corrections for 10 years. Mr. Sewell is survived by his wife of 54 years, five children; Doris Estes, Deloris Kittelson, Virginia Trujillo, Kathy Reis; 10 grandchildren, Amy Alvarez, Brandon Watson, Sheila Smith, Robert Kittelson, Cheri Trujillo, Tami Micchula, Jennifer Wolzen, Curtis Sewell, Adam Reis and Brian Reis; 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Claude Sewell. He was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers and a granddaughter. Arrangements were handled through Holt Family Funeral Home.

A Leonard Branson & Brisco Branson appear to be brothers sons of Michael Branson of MD who was in Stokes Co NC at the same time as my Zachariah Branson and lived very near. Leonard & Brisco did not stay long and ended up going to KY and IL I think. Go to GenForum and use the names of Brisco, Leonard and John and you will find information on them. I think it is possible my line is connected to them but at this point I can't prove anything. Sorry I could not be of more help.

I am looking for my ggggrandfather, a Brisco from North Carolina who married an Eliza and had eight children. I know he lived in Tennessee for a while and his son, William J. Branson, ended up in Washington Co. VA. Could this be the same Brisco and where did you find your reference to him? Any information you can give me would be much appreciated.

Branson Myron R. Branson, 95, of Richmond, Ind., died Monday evening, Aug. 11, [1997] at Friends Fellowship Community in Richmond. Born June 10, 1902, in Preble County, he was the son of William G. and Viretta (Roberts) Branson. He graduated from West Elkton High School in 1919, and was a self-employed farmer in the Preble County area for 65 years. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Marie Branson; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bill White of Camden; two grandchildren, Russell White and wife Rhonda of Germantown, David White and wife Tracy of Somerville; two great-grandchildren, Erica and Tyler White; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi (Albert) Branson, in 1958. Graveside services were Aug. 15 at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton, with the Rev. Joanna Scofield officiating. Memorial services were Sunday, Aug. 17, at Friends Fellowship Community. R.C. Nein and Sons-Limber Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to West Elkton Friends Church or to Friends Fellowship Community, 2030 Chester Blvd., Richmond, Ind. Hope this helps.
