Regarding Zachariah Lyon Branson, brother of John Branson, I too have seen several records on his parents. One has Zachariah the son of Levi Branson and Elizabeth Hutchins and another has him son of a John Branson. Based on your comments, I assume you would lean toward John Branson as the father of Zachariah, John and William. I have not seen anything on this John Branson, Sr. Thanks again.

John Branson is believed to have had two brothers Zachariah Lyon Branson & William Branson. His sisters are unknown. I have seen emails that try to link these Branson lines to the Thomas Day Branson lines and the lines of Eli & Levi Branson in NC. All evidence points away from that.

Ukiah, Mendocino Co., CA Friday, November 21, 1980 Charlotte "Polly" Branson Charlotte "Polly" Branson, 66, of Potter Valley was taken ill suddenly Saturday morning April 24, and died of an apparent heart attack in a local hospital. She was very active at their Potter Valley ranch and will be missed by all that knew her. Born October 9, 1915 in Ukiah she was on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Willits and a lifelong resident of the community. She is survived by her husband, Frank Branson of Potter Valley; a daughter Mary Powis of Potter Valley and son Jim Branson of Ukiah; three grandsons; sisters Martha Coe of Berry Creek, Calif. and Sister Lucy of All Saints, Philadelphia, Penn. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Services will be held Wednesday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at the Eversole Mortuary with Rev. John Bogart officiating. Interment will be in the Ukiah Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Cedric Thornton, Gilman Cox, Al Hardie, Harley Branson, Stan Hildreth, and Bing Gibson.
