    1. Re: [BRANSON] Thomas L. BRANSON/Elizabeth DAY Family File Updated 20 Oct. 2006
    2. It was interesting to find the Huff family on the Branson List. I have Branson's and Huff's in my line. Now I am beginning to believe that most of the Quaker line's in early American are related if only by marriage! My line is Daniel Huff and Mary Worley and their daughter Jemina who married Richard Jones (another Quaker family from PA, NJ, VA, NC, OH and to (Henderson Co.,KY). Somewhere along the line, they stopped being Quaker's. A great grandchild from this line married a Wiley who was an Amos Branson descendant through his daughter Catherine Branson!!!! There is a nice web site at _http://www.rootsweb.com/~quakers/huff.htm#FAMILY_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~quakers/huff.htm#FAMILY) which gives the Huff line with reference's to Quaker Meeting notes, if anyone is interested. Another interesting web site has the Journal of Daniel Huff, Jr. _http://www.rootsweb.com/~quakers/huff.htm_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~quakers/huff.htm) And of course there is the Quaker Corner with many Quaker family's listed. _http://www.rootsweb.com/~quakers/huff.htm_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~quakers/huff.htm) Another interesting line from my Richard Jones and Jemima Huff is as follows: Richard Jones's father was also Richard Jones b. circa 1706 and his wife was Miriam Coppock b. 1706. Miriam Coppock was the daughter of Aaron Coppock b. 1662 Cheshire, England and died in 1726 in Chester, PA and his wife Miriam Short b. 1664 Sussex, England and died 1726 in PA. Miriam Short arrived in PA aboard the ship "Welcome" with William Penn. This makes descendants of Miriam Short eligible for membership in a group of descendants of people who came to America on the ship "Welcome" with William Penn. The Coppock family genealogy can be found at _http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/h/a/w/Gary-Hawley/GENE8-0001.html_ (http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/h/a/w/Gary-Hawley/GENE8-0001.html) I hope this helps someone, Janet

    3. Cindy, I know it appears that your line down close didn't have any more descedents, but can I work on the descendents of Levi and his first wife Jane Wilson??? Will they fit into your quest??? There are 7 children, and I'm sure I can find someone down to today? John Blair

    1. [BRANSON] Branson line from Eli & Keziah
    2. John Blair
    3. Greetings! I've been spending lots of time on the descendents of Eli & Keziah Hough Branson. Very willing to share and compare notes! I'm descended through Eli's daughter Mary. Mary married Peter Jones, not Patton Jones as many have written down. I've actually been working on John & Sarah as well as John's other siblings. I find it very interesting and wish I could come up with proof on the 3 Jones, who married 3 of the Branson siblings. Always wondering if they are siblings, or probably at least cousins. Anyways, email me, and maybe we can compare notes. John Blair jcblair77@btinternet.com

However, I'm looking more along the lines of Eli & Keziah's son Levi Asbury and his wife Rhoda Ballinger, and even more specifically, their son Levi and his wife Rhoda Sophronia Page Mull. There seems to be so many generations entangled in our Branson ancestry and mine is so short that it looks like I'm going to have trouble finding anyone close to my branch. You see, Eli is my great-great-great grandfather. Seems the men down my line marry and have children well into their middle age. :-) Levi Asbury's son, Levi, was abt 62 y/o when my grandfather was born. My father was 47 y/o when I was born. I'm 45 y/o. Thanks so much for replying . . . Cindy
