In 1911 census name is spelled Branigan. Michael and at least 2 of his brothers, Francis J. & Owen, emigrated to NYC. I am told my ancestral name is Barney Frank. My ancestors can be traced back to Annagh, Clontibret, Monaghan in the 1901/11 census, where there are many Brannigans of various spelling. From Drumgristin to Annagh my ancestral line going back from my grandfather was Michael-John-Francis Jr.-Francis Sr.-Bernard. I know there are descendants of the Drumgristin Brannigans in Belfast. I am also updated on all Michaels family in NYC. I do not yet know however what became of Michaels brothers, Francis J. and Owen after they came to the U.S. Interested in connecting with anyone of this Brannigan family.
