My direct Brannigan line comes from Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. As I said in the original post, these names are relatives of my Step-father Edward James Brannigan, Jr. I was thinking that this James Brannigan was related directly, perhaps my stepfather's grandfather, because James was not only his middle name, but his father and his son's as well.
