Researching ancestor Moses Brangan or Branigan in Co.Antrim. He was of Carrickfergus and was the son of William Brangan or Branigan who was a labourer. Moses married Charlotte Douglas on 26 Oct 1853 in Parish of Ahoghill, Ballymena, Antrim, NI. Charlotte being the daughter of William Douglas a Police Sergeant for the R.I.C. Moses was the Head Constable for the R.I.C.and lived in the area of Ballyratican, Dervock, and Portrush areas. His children seemed to mostly be born in the Ballyratican or Dervock areas.
