Author: Ruti317 Surnames: Brannigan Family -- Pittsburgh, PA USA Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.brannigan/7.33.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello, I think we have a connection, but at this point, I am not sure how. I am from Pittsburgh where St. Mary's Cemetery is located in the Lawrenceville section of the city. I would love to chat about this more. Would you mind writing to me at my regular email address? [email protected] The Brannigan side of my family has more limited information than the other, but I am doing what I can, when I can to work on it. Also, as an aside, I have the entire listing of everyone buried in St. Mary's up to a certain year. The Brannigan's buried there are all relatives, but again, I am still piecing it together. One relative there is a Civil War Medal of Honor Awarded Felix Brannigan. The cemetery is an old fashioned and beautifully cared for. If you would like, next time I am there I can photograph some headstones for you. I look forward to hearing from you! My Brannigan Branch has Pittsburgh, PA in our history. My Aunt Ruth Brannigan (Stocker) dated Gene Kelly, the famous dancer. Is there a connection? Don't know, but maybe. Your town and Pittsburgh just isn't that far away. Don't know my aunt's dob, but Gene Kelly's web site states he was born in 1912.
