I derived the following information from the 1880 Carter County, Kentucky census. The last three columns in the census by Robert are KKK and by Elizabeth are OhVOh. Does this mean that Robert's mother and father were from Kentucky and that Elizabeth's father was from Vermont and her mother from Ohio? I have requested lookups for the 1850 Carter census with only one Bradshaw listed, Sarah Bradshaw. There is only one George Bradshaw in the 1870 Greenup Census. (Parent county of Carter) The Pryor Funeral Home in WV lists Orville Bradshaw birthplace as Grayson, Kentucky. I am writing for a birth certificate for my grandfather, Orville Bradshaw, since I have his birth and death date: 24 Mar 1878 to 18 Oct 1956. Does anyone have any recommendations about where to go from here while I wait to see if a clue returns with the certificate? Robert Bradshaw born approx 1832 and Elizabeth Howard born approx 1840 Their children are: Florence born approx. 1858 James born approx. 1860 Charles born approx. 1865 George born approx. 1867 Harry born approx. 1869 Frank born approx. 1872 Emma born approx. 1874 Orville born approx. 1878 ( my grandfather who later settled in West Virginia.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
