Becky, this is interesting to think about: Your John Franklin Bradshaw's nephew, (? half-nephew? , if there is such a designation) Cyrus Franklin Bradshaw, was a prisoner at City Point, MD at that time. Does anyone know if City Point is another designation for Point Lookout? Born c1845 in Iredell Co NC to Josiah and Asenath Gaultney Bradshaw. His pension application indicates he was captured 3 April 1865 at Appomattox, was on the Roll of Prisoners of War at City Point, Md, 13 April 1865 and released on Oath of Allegiance the 23 June 1865 (same date as John Franklin) : fair complexion, blue eyes, dark hair, 5' 8" Enlisted late 1862 in the 38th Inf Reg Co G, NC.
