I have a John Douglass family from Pennsylvania (late 1700's - early 1800's) who migrated to Ohio. John married Mary Bradshaw (also from Pennsylvania). A recurring name in that family is Larimer or Lorimer. Their son, named Lorimer, born about 1820, was a missionary to India and Burma. I am told by a distant cousin that this name is connected with the Douglass family from an earlier date. I'll look for my notes if this strikes a note of interest with anyone, but there was a story attached to the name. It was the similarity of the names that made me wonder if there was a connection. Like I said - a long shot idea............. Deborah
