    3. Hello Bradshaw Listers! I am seeking information about my gggGrandmother, Rebecca (Stephenson) Bradshaw. This is what I know: John BRADSHAW b. 1794/1800, Cabell County, Virginia (now WV) d. 19 Sep., 1823, Cabell County, VA. buried: Sep., 1823, (ditto) married: 14 Apr., 1817, Cabell County, VA Father: Charles BRADSHAW Mother: Hannah (Susannah) BATES Wife: Rebecca STEPHENSON b. Abt. 1796, Cabell County, VA. d. DECEASED After John died in 1823, at least one of the children was sent to live with John's parents or his brother Jacob BRADSHAW. Part of the Bradshaw clan removed to Illinois in 1832, and the remainder of Charles' family may have gone there as late as 1840. They appear to have also been living for a time in Ohio, before going on West to Iowa. Ann Bradshaw, daughter of Rebecca & John Bradshaw, stated in her memoirs that her mother remarried and had three sons: Maxwell, Thomas & James. I do not know the name of the man she married, nor do I know where she was living after John Bradshaw died. I do not know the names of Rebecca Stephenson's parents, nor their origins. I have found information in IGI records about a Rebecca Stephenson marrying in Illinois and the time period is about right, but have no way of knowing if this is she. If any of you that are of Charles & Susannah (Bates) Bradshaw have any "bit" of info that might be helpful, I could sure use some help here. I had hoped to find a Will of some kind or property settlement or Probate record, but none so far. Perhaps I overlooked something or didn't look in the right places. Again, seeking information about Rebecca STEPHENSON, who married John BRADSHAW 14 August, 1817, Cabell County, VA. (now WV). Children of John And Rebecca: Nancy Louisa Bradshaw, b. 2 Jun., 1818, Cabell, VA. Skelton Bradshaw, b. 25 Jul, 1820, (Ditto) Ann or Rebecca Ann Bradshaw, b. 12 Aug., 1822, (Ditto) All of their children removed to Iowa by 1840. Ann married Amos Fuller VAUGHN. Ann was a school teacher in Iowa and Missouri. Nancy married Fielden BREEDEN. Nancy was a mid-wife. Skelton never married to our knowledge. Was a minister. Thank you.
