    1. [BRADSHAW-L] F.M. Bradshaw (Lincoln Co., NC)
    2. Hi: This is my first time to msg the list, so I hope I'm doing it right. I read the excellent information about Lincoln Co. (NC) Bradshaws that Betty J Turner recently sent out. I thought maybe I could tie my family line into it, but couldn't. I have a lot on the Milners, but nothing more on the Bradshaws. Can anybody help me? F.M. Bradshaw was my g-grandfather. F.M.'s names may be Field and/or Monroe. A cousin thinks it was Field, but has no proof. On the other hand, the "Historical Records of Randolph County, Ala. 1832-1900," p. 115, gives the death register "Monroe Bradshaw, 2/25/86, birth GA, age 60, male, white, married, farmer, heart disease, Beat 12, P.G. Trent MD." This doesn't match the birthplace or age, but it does match on death date and location. F.M. Bradshaw and wife, Nancy Caroline Milner, are buried in the church cemetary at Bacon Level, AL. HIs tombstone reads "F.M. Bradshaw, Born Near Lincolnton, N.C., Dec 24, 1818, Died in Randolph Co., Ala., June 12, 1902" It has an unreadable poetry quote and a Masonic emblem. Her stone reads "N.C. Bradshaw, Born in Jasper Co., Georgia, 1826, Died in Randolph Co., Ala., June 12, 1902. She was a kind affectionate wife, a fond mother and a friend to all." According to the book "History of Harris County Georgia 1827-1961" by L.C. Barfield, F.M. and Nancy were married in Harris Co., GA on 11/15/1843. I know of four children: 1. Amanda, b. 1844 in GA, married George T. Banks on 11/18/1865. 2. Susan, b. 1846 in GA, married Leroy W. Lynn on 12/29/1859. 3. Mary, b. 1850 in GA. 4. Robert Lee Bradshaw (my grandfather) b. 9/8/1867 in Harris Co. GA, d. 5/12/1930 in AL. Buried Bacon Level, AL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bob Bradshaw
