Jim, I was in Richmond a couple of weeks ago and stopped at the library. The contents of Goochland County, Virginia in Order Book 6, page 375 are as follows: At a Court held for Goochland County the fifteenth day of September being the Third Tuesday in the Month Anno Domini MDCCXLVII Prefent: Nicholas Davies, John Harris, James Barnes & William Miller Gent. Justices Judith Bradshaw comes into Court and makes Oath that William Bradfhaw deceafed died without any Will so far as she knows or believes and on her Motion ~ Certificate is granted for her for obtaining letters of Administration in due form. John Merriman and Benj.a Bradfhaw entring themselves Security for the same. Ordered that Benj.a Mofby, Hezekiah Mosby, Philip Poindexter and Samuel Scott or any three of them being first sworn before some Justice of the peace do appraife the Estate of William Bradfhaw deceased and that his Administratrix do return an Inventory thereof to the next Court. I hope this clears up any confusion. By the way, I have also added new grant information for John Bradshaw and William Bradshaw on my website. New information from Claiborne and Campbell counties, TN. (Geocities seems to be incredibly slow these days). Good luck, Richard W. Bratcher www.geocities.com/~dbratcher
