It appears that Elizabeth "Eliza" Bradshaw (b.1763), descendant of an old Tidewater Virginia family who maried frontiersman Brice Miller (b.1757) in Greenbrier County Virginia in 1781, was my 4xgreat grandmother. The line is through her daughter Elizabeth "Betsey" Miller (b. about 1785 in western Virginia) -- Jane Stuart (b.1829 in Indiana) -- Henry Allen Barton (b.1860 in Iowa) -- Susan Mahala Barton (b.1888 in Kansas) -- living Palmer -- me. Various genealogies list Elizabeth Bradshaw's father as 16-year old William Bradshaw (b.1747) before he married Susannah Hutchinson, or John Bradshaw (b.1721/1722), or William Bradshaw (b.1719).
