In my notes I have that "On 15 Sept 1747 >Judith Bradshaw comes into Goochland Co., VA and makes oath that William >Bradshaw deceased died without any will and she was granted a letter of >administration with John Merriman and Benjamin Bradshaw entering themselves >security for the name. Or is >either? =============== On 14 Oct 1998, I extracted the following from website, http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/m/u/s/Anne-B-Musser/GENE32-0001.html which at this time appears to be an invalid URL. --------- "Generation No. 2 3. WILLIAM2 BRADSHAW (JOHN1) was born 1690 in Henrico County, Virginia, and died December 17, 1748 in Cumberland County, Virginia. He married JUDITH SCRUGGS 1712 in Cumberland County, Virginia, daughter of CHARLES SCRUGGS and MARY FIELD. More About WILLIAM BRADSHAW: Fact 1: September 15, 1747, Will recorded Goochland County, Bk. 6, pg. 375" ---------- Since I hadn't seen the "Will", I make the following statements in referenced post: "His will is alleged to be recorded on 15 Sep 1747 in Goochland Co., Va Will Book 6, page 375. If anyone has an abstracted or transcribed copy of his will, please consider posting it as a response on the BRADSHAW-L list." I'm still interested in the probate of William BRADSHAW's estate and if anyone can clarify the issue, the information would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Jim Young
