He lived 1840 -1900, a builder, JP and Mayor of Gateshead. Born in Manhilad, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire he had at least 2 brothers, Thomas and John who outlived him, he also had a sister, Ann, I don't know what happened to her. HIs children were John Barker, an engineer in Bermuda; Mary, who married John E Bell and had Bertha; Eliza and LLewellyn my gg grandfather. Any thing ring a bell ( no pun intended) thanks
