Does anyone been able to prove that John Bradshaw and Elizabeth Pleasants were married??? From the research that I have done Elizabeth Pleasants was married to James Cockes, January 11 1691. This is from the book The Valentine Papers. Page 190 of the Valentine Papers, "Elizabeth Pleasants Cocke, the daughter of James Cocke and his wife Elizabeth Pleasants. Now it is well established that James Cocke married in 1791 Elizabeth Pleasants, the daughter of John Pleasants. Elizabeth Pleasants Cocke the widow of James Cocke, in her will probated in 1751 devises to her daughter Elizabeth "Portriss" Note the spelling.
