    3. >From the Book Seal of Burke County North Carolina, page 109. William Bradshaw II, one of the first Bradshaws in Burke County was born in Cumberland County, Virginia, 1726. Son of William I and Judith Scruggs Bradshaw.His grand-grandfather of 1648 lived in Goochland, Virginia. William had one child. John, born in 1664 and married Elizabth Harper. They were the grandparents of William II. John and Elizabeth Harper Bradshaw was born in 1698, Henrico Co. Va. William I married Judith Scruggs in 1718, Henrico Co. Va. They had six children: Field, Charles, William II, Obedience, Tomlin, and Josiah. William Bradshaw II, born 1726, died 1811, Burke Co. NC. William married Suzanna Robinson,daughter of John Robinson, Sr., and Tabitha Jones in Richmond, Va, born 1730, Henrico Co. Va.,died 1801-1805, Burke CO. NC. William and Suzanna Robinson Bradshaw children were: a. Obadiah,born before 1755, Haywood Co. NC. and went to live in Burke and McDowell Counties NC. b. Reverend William Bradshaw III, married Mary Collicott and was the third pastor of North Catawba Baptist Church. William III gave the land for the church. Died 9 Oct 1827. c. Josiah, born 1750, married Mary Hogan, 1777. Jiosiah died 29 March 1821,at Lovelady Ford, He is buried in the Bradshaw Cemetery near North Catawba Church. d. Judith Bradshaw married Justice Beach e. Seth Bradshaw III, born 1755, married Anna Lowe. They moved to Kentucky. f. Isaiah Bradshaw, born 1755-1774, died Feb. 1820, Burke Co. NC. g. Charles Bradshaw, born 1760, died 16 March 1828, Weathy, Tn. h. Ursula Bradshaw, married Miles Abernathy, 6 Oct 1781. i. Anna Bradshaw married Field Bradshaw j. Elijah Bradshaw moved to Georgia. Josiah Bradshaw and Nanvcy Hogan Bradshaw's children were: a. Elizabeth (Betsy) born 1777, married Elijah Largent, died 3 July 1850. b. Seth Bradshaw, born 1783.(gave the land for Caldwell County) married Nancy Goldsby 1810, moved to Missouri. c. Tabitha Bradshaw, born 1748, married 1820. d. Temperance Bradshaw married Aaron Brittain Hawkins, who's father Austin Hawkins came to Burke County in 1760. He was a general in the American Army in the Revolutionary War. Temperance Bradshaw and Aaron Hawkins children were: a. Harrison Brittain b. Bradshaw c. Josiah Sliter d. Napoleon e. Losson f. Nancy (Mrs Robert Garrison) g. Eliza (Mrs Joshua Largent h. Luiza (Mrs Daniel Hicks) i. Minerva (Mrs Marcus Brittain) j. Amanda (Mrs John Duckworth) k. Mary Ann (Mrs Sidney Poteet) Many of William Bradshaw II still live in Burke County NC with varied surnames.
