September 5, 1754 The Pennsylvania Gazette RUN away from Robert << Bradshaw>> , of Derry township, in Lancaster county, on the 18th of July last, a servant woman, namMary Smith, between 17 and 18 years of age, and big with child, when she absented herself from the said << Bradshaw>> . It is supposed she will change her name; she is a bold looking girl, of a brown complexion: Had on when she went away, a blue calimancoe gown, the body linwith linen, a black quilted serge petticoat, a blue and white linsey bed gown, and a blue and white silk handkerchief. Whoever takes up said servant, and secures her in any goal, so as her master may have her again, shall have Thirty Shillings reward, and reasonable charges, paid by me ROBERT << BRADSHAW>> . N.B. She is this country born.
