I am posting this first as it pertains to the previous posting by me today. Page 60 BRADSHAW, William (Selah). R.1142. 10 Feb. 1838. Southampton Co., Va. Selah (X) BRADSHAW of Southampton declares she is the widow of William BRADSHAW who was in the militia service during the Revolutionary War. He was called during the first of the Revolution and served whenever his division was called out for four or five years. He served under Col. KELLO of this county. She was married soon after the war began, the marriage being published in the church and not by license. The only person living who knows of her marriage is Edith BRADSHAW who waited on her. She is now about 84 years of age. 23 Aug. 1853. Southampton Co., Va. Matildy (X) BRADSHAW of Vicksville in said county declares she is a child of William BRADSHAW who was a soldier in the Revolution. She gives a power of attorney to Edwin BRADSHAW of Southampton County to recover pension due her. The capitalization of last names is mine except for the heading name in the first line. This Sela BRADSHAW is Sela BOON(E), daughter of Ratliffe BOON(E) of Isle of Wight Co., Va. More to come. Anne
