    2. I had received a copy of the following from my cousin 20 years ago. It was in the "Amite County Mississippi 1699-1890, Vol III" by Albert Eugene Casey. page 323: File 118, Robert Montgomery estate year 1842 "William M. Bradshaw, Mark Bradshaw and Helen Bradshaw who are the children of William Bradshaw who was the son of Mary Bradshaw and said Mary was the wife of Joel Bradshaw and also the sister of Robert Montgomery now deceased late a resident of Amite county, state of Mississippi. They being over the age of fourteen years made choice of James H. Morgan as their guardian. Tweed A. Taylor and Claburn G. Gooch bondsmen for James H. Morgan, these people all of White County, Tennessee. Dated 4th November 1845. Inventory of the personal estate of Robert Montgomery made the 8th of September 1838 by Josiah Cole, Henry Lawrence, John Lowery, and James Weeks showed twenty slaves worth $18,000.00 and other personal property bringing the total to $26,913.00. Christopher C. Gordon and Clark Gordon minor heirs of Joseph Gordon and Nancy Gordon, the said Nancy Gordon late deceased was a niece of Robert Montgomery deceased of Amite County, Mississippi. Gordon from Clinton County, Illinois. Mary Bradshaw was Mary Montgomery, the reputed sister of Robert Montgomery. Mary Bradshaw departed this life at Charles Bradshaw's in Green County, Illinois leaving six heirs, namely: William Bradshaw, John Bradshaw, Charles Bradshaw, Joel Bradshaw, Nancy Houston, Margaret Luney and William Bradshaw departed this life, Texas on the 4th of August 1840 leaving six heirs namely: Mary Morgan, Jane Isam and Montgomery Mark and Helen minor heirs which are the legal heirs of the said William Montgomery deceased and Martha (her mark) Bradshaw. James M. Morgan is one of the legal heirs of Mrs. Patsy Bradshaw, the widow of William Bradshaw deceased by him the said James H. Morgan, Clay County, Tennessee, 2nd July 1827, Reverend James Morgan and Miss Patsey Bradshaw of said county married. Mary Bradshaw wife of Joel Bradshaw who was the reputed sister of Robert Montgomery. Voluminous papers."
