Do you know if the Bradshaws were Huguenots? These two families moved from VA and TN, went to war together, did business, their children married. In my search for the Irish or Scottish background, I found a business in Galway: Gowen and Bradshaw. I'm going to fax them a query and see what happens.

    3. Hi! I've seen your message posted regarding Mary Bradshaw wife of Joel. I too have a Joel Bradshaw married to Mary Gainer. Joel was born in Bucks Co., Penns about 1858. The emigrated to Canada in 1797. Mary had been previously married and had a son Jacob and a daughter Elizabeth. She had 4 children with Joel - Israel, Sarah, David and Gilbert. Joel died about 1828 in Upper Canada. Some of the children later emigrated to the U.S. with their mother, Mary. I don't know if any of this fits in with your family research but I'm hoping it may. I look forward to hearing from you. Marjorie Monlezun On Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at 04:07 PM, Jo924@aol.com wrote: > Pamela, > Mary Bradshaw, wife of Joel Bradshaw does not have a tombstone.
