Their daughter Emma married Guy Davis and their daughter Dora married Ernest Drayton. Dora and Ernest are my husband's parents. Ruben and Helen were from Lapeer County Michigan. The only children I have listed are Edith and Lettie who died in Nov 1877 at 10 months. Helen died 5 July 1878 and Ruben married a Janette who died in 1894. The only child I have for them is Mary Ann who died at 11 months in 1894. Ruben had a brother Silas who married a Charlotte Furman. I'm guessing this was Helen's sister. Ruben and Helen were married at Silas and Charlotte's home. Ruben was in the Civil War. I have not sent for his war record yet. I do plan to. Do you have any information about their parents? Their mother Harriet remarried William Bentley. In the 1860 census there are 4 Bradshaws, 2 older Bentleys and 2 that are probably theirs. We also have some Stevens from Lapeer County. There is an Ezra and an Edwin, sons of Amon Stevens. Any connection there? I'd be happy to get any information you have.

I know that he was born in Tennessee, & his mother died when he was 4 yrs old. But family story says we are from the Joseph Cobb that came to Va in 1613. But have no proof & don't even know if that is true. So could even be from a different Cobb line entirely & just linked it together because he was named Joseph. Would some kind person search the census years of 1870 and 1860 for Nannie Bradshaw or her mother on those years.I have their death certificates and no helpful info on either one.On Jane Bradshaw ,(the mother) her maiden name was listed as Jackson.Perryville,Perry Co.Al. 1980 is the only info I have.Could some kind soul help? I also have a William Bradshaw who married Mary Collicott in my family information.I only have their names and no further information except for a son named Elijah who married a daughter of Cyrus Connolly. Another daughter of Cyrus P. Connolly married Azor/Azer Bradshaw. Cyrus and family moved to Wright County, Missouri in the 1850's. Cyrus and a Elizabeth Connolly are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wright County, Missouri. According to a book, that I have of the Connolly's, Cyrus married a Bradshaw after the death of his first wife. What I am looking for is a female Bradshaw that married Cyrus P. Connolly. Cyrus was born in 1776 in Virginia. He married Elizabeth Callicott, born between 1776-1778 in Virginia. Marriage date is 1800 either in Virginia or North Carolina. According to information in a book, he married a Bradshaw after Elizabeth died. There is an Elizabeth Connolly buried next to him at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wright County, Missouri. It is believed that this must be his second wife but no information has been found confirming this. Two of the Connolly children married Bradshaws.One married a Elijah Bradshaw and the other married Azer/Azor Bradshaw. I am hoping to find the female Bradshaw that was married to Cyrus P. Connolly. According to a reference consultant at the LDS church, Mrs Bolin gives her descent from William Bradshaw b. c. 1698 and settled in Goochland Co., VA. The book was published by her family after her death in 1960. It has 134 pgs, but only the first 34 are about Bradshaws. It's call no. is 929.273 B729b, film no. 1035735, item 12. You can see it at any LDS Family History Center, or see the catalog listing at www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlc/frameset_fhic.asp. I looked at this book and a number of things in it did not agree with other records I have obtained, primarily the will of Field Bradshaw, 16 Jun 1788, Lincoln Co., NC. As I am descended from Field, I did not make much use of Bolin's book.
