    2. Any hints as to where I might find (to buy) the books: "My Bradshaws and Their Associated Families" by Carrie Bradshaw Bollin (Not sure of the spelling of the last name. ) I have seen this book listed as a source so often I would like a copy. "Kentucky Bradshaws" - don't know the author on this one and not sure of the title, but hope the attempt at the title is close enough. Haven't found either listed in the book sites, it is possible they were privately published. Thanks for any hints.

    3. In case you haven't tried the LVA electronic cards, I'm forwarding information on how to utilize; from a posting on Gilliam newslist. Found 2 land grants for William Bradshaw. Was able to print out a copy of the original recording. The two grants which I think belong to Wm Bradshaw (m Judith Scruggs) can be accessed by the numerical index: patents 23, 1745-46, p32 patents 15, 1732-35, p130 The alphabetical index groups are according to last name, then first name, then county ==== Go to this website address: <http://leo.vsla.edu/lva/lva.html> for the homepage or <http://198.17.62.51/collections/cc_archive.html#lo> to go directly to the page for the indexes of Virginia Land Grants and Patents. Scroll down the homepage until you see this Title: Research and Information Resources under this title click on Online Catalogs and Image Databases After this page comes up, scroll down to the bottom and click on Electronic Card Indexes After this page comes up, scroll down until you see and click on Land Records After this page comes up you have two choices of Indexes: Land Office Patens and Grants or Northern Neck Grants. Each has a Surname Index and a Chronological/Numerical Index. Once you click on an index, if you do not have a TIFF Viewer, you can download one for free that will allow you to view the images. But you will have to download the images themselves first before you can view them.

    1. [BRADSHAW-L] Two Bradshaw questions, please. (Ann & Charles)
    2. In attempting to clear up my files I have found some loose ends I can't tie in (more loose ends than tied ones but...) 1. Who is the Ann Bradshaw that married Abram Harshaw? Does any one have this Ann, Anna or Annie connected anywhere? I have her as born 1765 died 1853. 2. Second question is more curiosity. Does any one have any information on the family of Charles Bradshaw who married Rachael Thompson? I have his will, his children and the name of his second wife but do not have the next generation. If any one is researching this family I have Rachael's siblings and her father's will. Thanks for the help.

This Should Answer Question About LDS SEARCH Hello Fellow Researchers, I have been bombarded with questions on the Family Search Website and would like to pass on to you the information I received when I spoke to an "Official" Church spokesperson at Family Search. He advised me of the following: The OFFICIAL LDS Church website is LDS.ORG Go to media resources and find News update. The church is posting updates as they come in as to the state of the family search. Within 3 or 4 minutes of the NEWS UPDATE ANNOUNCING the FAMILY SEARCH is online. They will post it THERE! SO Keep checking. Should be a couple of days. It will be a MASSIVE SITE. They are prepared to test this site using anyone who wishes to go to it and use it. THERE WILL BE NO PASSWORD TO ACCESS IT. The rumor about the password was incorrect. When the site was put up it was restricted to a few....about 100 people who designed it and are putting the finishing touches on it, someone there LEAKED, YES LEAKED, (AN EMPLOYEE) and that is why some of you got in. When the masses bombarded the site it crashed cause it was not finished. They have now given each worker an INDIVIDUAL PASSWORD, SOOOOO IF it gets leaked again they will know who did it. It has been postponed being put online a few days because of the crash. There are now about 12 popular stories going around about Family Search. I ASSURE YOU MINE CAME FROM A CHURCH SPOKESMAN. IF you pass information about the site on to others please just send them this message I have sent you. The whole message. Now please remember this. 1. Go to LDS.org 2. Find Media Resources 3. Check News Updates That will inform you when it is going online. Please notify everyone you know who will be interested. I hope this helps you all. You have my permission to pass this note on to any Genealogy Lists you wish. Again, Please pass the whole note not just sections of it or we will have more rumors. Thanks, Karen Gaughan in Pa.
