I know there are literally hundreds of RICHARD BRADSHAW's in the 1881 census but I am looking for one who had died before that, supposed to be in India but I cannot find a death record for him. This was my Gt grandfather who married CHARLOTTE DUDDING in 1862 in Maidstone, Kent, UK and we know he worked in a paper mill. On their marriage certificate they are both listed as age 21 but we know she was 25 so maybe he was also over 21? His father was also Richard, and his son, obviously a popular name at the time. We believe he may have had a brother who was a parson, probably in the Maidstone area. Does anyone know anything about this RICHARD BRADSHAW? When and where was he born? What was his mother's name? Where did the family live? Any help greatly received. Margaret [email protected]

I'm asking for help on finding more information. My great grandfather Robert Bradshaw was listed on the 1880 Carter County Census. I can't seem to find him after this date. I have looked on adjoining counties, but haven't been able to visit NARA for information that is not online. What would really be helpful is a death certificate which might list his parents. Does anyone have any suggestions for approaching this task? All help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Pat Muniz [email protected]

Hello BRADSHAW list members, There is a new resource, Classified Ads Boards, that can now be found from a link on the cluster page for the BRADSHAW surname and variations. As you know the Cluster page serves as a navigation aid to all resources for the BRADSHAW surname housed on RootsWeb. The Cluster page for the BRADSHAW surname can be found at: http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/b/r/BRADSHAW/ You know that advertising (even when it can be helpful in our genealogical research) is generally not allowed on our mailing list and GenConnect boards. In an effort to help genealogists locate genealogical items, or list items being offered for sale, for example, out of print books you might be looking to sell or purchase, RootsWeb has created Classifieds at RootsWeb. These Classified Ad Boards work in the same way the GenConnect boards work and are only to be used for items of a genealogical nature pertaining to the surname shown on the board. These boards provide an outlet to help in our research for items that couldn't be properly listed elsewhere on RootsWeb. Enjoy them and use them to your best advantage!
