Florence Jane Bradshaw (known as Midge) was her sister. She moved to London and was in domestic service in Willesden London and met and married Sydney Vince, my grandad who was from Norfolk.I know that they used to visit them in Neasden (Willesden), along the North Circular Road and dad always used to remark on that as we drove past the house! Dad was sent to live with one of the sisters (which I one can find out when I get home) on a farm in Clay Pits during the war. She was married to Dolph Hankins and I have pictures. I know that a lady called Jean Robson (nee Hodson, I think) was researching all this from Australia but I could never get in touch with her. I'll email you separarately. Thanks for getting in touch. I thought the trail had gone cold. Peter

Samuel J. Bradshaw was my Great Grandfather. As far as I know, there was no son from this family named James Isaac. Samuel had a son named James B. Bradshaw, but he could not be the James Isaac as he would be born to late. I have heard of a James Riley Bradshaw going way back but he was from a different line, I think from a brother of Samuel Bradshaw that first came to Kingstree, SC. I will keep an eye out and if I come across anything I will post it.

Bradshaw had any more children after 1850? I have the 1850 Williamsburgh District Census that lists their children as: Margaret C., Sarah E., Samuel J., John H., Mary J., Washington L., Adeline A., Benjamin J., and Amelia Ann E. I'm trying to find the family of my ggg-grandfather, James Isaac Bradshaw. I can't find anything on him until he moved to Texas about 1870 (supposedly straight from SC). According to his gravestone, he was born in 1852 and the 1880 Milam Co., TX Census lists his birthplace as South Carolina. Not sure where she got the info, but a distant cousin told me he had sisters named Sarah E. and Mary J., so I thought there might be a connection here. Family legend says that he left SC for TX because his mother died, his father remarried, and he didn't get along with her. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
