    2. Gerald S. Bradley
    3. Here is another letter which has been saved in the JOHN DAVIS BRADLEY Bible for a long time. Someone may find it od interest. The interesting thing, to me, about the letter is that it implies that JAMES H. BRADLEY was already married, with a family, before the first Indian Territory land "Run" of 1889. James married Effie Black in 1891. Purcell Ind Terry April the 8th/89 Dear Brother I drop you this to let you Know all are up. All have just got over the Measles. I heard you are a going to Little River to settle. What part are you going to? My advice is for you not to start with any wagons if you want to get a place. Secure your place and then get your family afterwards. There are a going to be a terrible rush from this part of the country for Little River but only hope you will get there with the rest. This would be as near a place to Little River as you could get to- that is if you are aiming to strike high up on the River. It is only about 10 or 12 miles to the nearest point on Little River from here. I think Gus & Jeff are going there. I have a place located here on the River if I should happen to get beat out of it. I am pulling for Little River immediately. I have a fine place on the railroad & good outlet to the C.N. IT. I could get $100 for my chances on it now but I can't see that atal for I have got too good a show to get there my self. I am watching others. In a hurry. Your Brother J. H. Bradley let me hear from you at once or come up here to start.
