My grgrgr, Samuel D. Bradley, m. Catherine Campbell, was in Christian Co. KY as early as 1878. Have found him no earlier, but there were many Bradleys in Christian Co. at that time & early 1800's. A James Bradley was quite evident in many transactions, as there were many other Bradleys there during that period. Think there is any connection? My parents currently live in Fayette Co. I'll keep my eyes open for you. My grandmother used James Bradley, a Capt. on the Virginia line, Continental Army to get into the DAR. Anyone with info on him please contact me. No one in my family knows any connection to that name. VA. Anybody out there researching them. I know this is reaching far. I was running random names in the Ancestor file for Bradley family. I saw a listing for Bradley family in Orange Co. that interest me.. I know my Bledsoe and Adams families were in Orange Co. pre 1800. One of my Adams married a Bradley. Elizabeth Adams (d/o William Adams and Sarah Bledsoe) married Samuel Bradley in 1832 in Clark Co. KY. Samuel Bradley was a son of William Bradley and Sarah Logan. William and Sarah married in 1807 in Fayette Co. KY. I never been able to find the parents William Bradley born ~1785. By 1810 When William is located on Census with "other Bradley" family of unknown connection. There are 3 of Terry Bradley's desc listed in 1810.. Leonard Keeling Bradley, his son Terry, and Edward. There is also Dennis Bradley born 1758. And my William. IN 1790 there are some other Bradley in Fayette Co. KY, This part of Fayette Co. later became Scott Co. KY. Those Bradley in Scott Co. KY are connected to Orange Co. Bradley. They are siblings of the William Bradley that married Lucy Rice. I think that William Bradley's must be connected to Rice family, his first daughter was named Sarah Rice Bradley. William Bradley was born about 1785. There is also strong links to Boone family. Elizabeth Adams was the great granddaughter of Samuel Boone brother of Daniel. Sarah Logan mother was a Boone. There is a legend that she was raised by Squire Boone brother of Daniel. Lenoard Keeling Bradley (son of Terry Bradley) married a daughter of Samuel Boone. Can you help?
